CWG 2022 Table Tennis FINAL: Defending Champions India wins Gold medal, defeats Singapore 3-1 in Men’s Team event final
India successfully defended its gold medal in the Table Tennis (TT) men’s team event beating Singapore 3-1 in the final to clinch the gold at Commonwealth Games 2022. Harmeet Desai’s 11-8, 11-5, 11-6 win over Zhe Yu Clarence Chew sealed the deal for India after Sathiyan Gnanasekaran’s win had put India in command. Desai and Gnanasekaran also won their doubles match, while Sharath Kamal Achanta lost his TT singles match.

India has so far won 12 medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, including five gold, four silver and three bronze medals. The special thing is that seven weightlifting medals have arrived in this one. At the same time, India won two medals in judo. Also, the women’s team in lawn balls and the men’s team in table tennis won gold.
India won the gold medal for the second consecutive time in the men’s table tennis team event. Indian men’s table tennis also won the yellow medal at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. The Indian team then defeated Nigeria 3-0 in the final match.
