In the last edition of the Games when it was held in Gold Coast, India finished third with 66 medals including 26 gold medals.

CWG 2022 Medal Tally: The 22nd edition of the Commonwealth Games begins on July 28 with the opening ceremony at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Stadium. The full-blown action takes place from July 29 to August 7, and the event concludes with the closing ceremony on August 8. Athletes from more than 70 countries will participate in various disciplines and compete for a medal. India is at 6th rank in Medal tally in CWG 2022 with 6 medals till now.

India has also sent a 215 strong contingent to England hoping for the best show ever. Having won 503 medals, including 181 gold in 18 appearances, the athletes have high hopes of helping India finish as high as possible on the Commonwealth Games medal list. The best performance in India’s history came in 2010 when the Games were held in New Delhi. The team finished second with 101 medals, including a whopping 38 gold medals.
